donate to Join the glen lake association
When you become a GLA member by making an annual dues contribution to the General Fund, you support programs which ensure that the Glen Lake/Crystal River Watershed remains beautiful and healthy. Riparian members also become eligible to vote for board members and bylaw updates.
In addition, we invite you to make a donation to one of the other funds below. However you choose to support the Glen Lake Association, your contributions will help protect the incredible natural resources and quality of life we’ve all come to love.
Donating online is secure and easy and offers convenient auto renew options. If you’d prefer to mail a check, you can still use the online platform, just include the information on this FORM with your check.
Thank you for supporting the Glen Lake Association mission to preserve and protect the watershed for future generations!

Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund ensures the long-term financial stability of the Glen Lake Association. This fund is managed by professional investment advisors through the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, which grants 4% of the fund’s value to the Glen Lake Association each year. This grant is used to support ongoing programming. The Endowment Fund’s principal is not available to the Association.

Boat Wash Fund
The Boat Wash Fund was established in 2022. It is intended to endow the costs associated with operating and financing the equipment essential to running the Glen Lake boat wash facility. This operation, located at the DNR public boat launch on Day Forest Road, is considered the “first line of defense” against invasive species entering Glen Lake. The income of this fund may be used to cover annual boat wash expenditures.
Watershed Scientist Fund
The Watershed Scientist Fund was created in 2020 to offset the cost of this essential staff position. Employing a dedicated watershed scientist is a critical part of the Association’s watershed protection efforts which include addressing endangered and invasive species, monitoring water quality, tackling challenges (such as swimmer’s itch), and engaging in important scientific studies.
