The Glen Lake Association sponsors events throughout the year where you can learn more about watershed protection. Signup for a Discovery Boat tour, hear about the “State of the Watershed” at our annual meeting, or stop by our booth at a community-wide event to ask questions or grab some informational brochures.

We hope to see you at an event soon!

The Discovery Boat provides a hands-on educational opportunity to learn more about what makes Glen Lake so unique! Learn first hand from our watershed scientists as you cruise onboard a 22-foot pontoon boat for a 90 minute family -friendly excursion.

The curriculum varies and is tailored to the interests of the participants. Topics range from: discovering how the lakes, wetlands, streams and surrounding hillsides were formed by glaciers; the chemistry of the water; the biology of the plants and animals; the ecology of how all the parts work together; and the community partners and political forces at work within our watershed. The life cycle and prevention of swimmer’s itch are also covered.
