Signup for a Discovery Boat tour, hear about the “State of the Watershed” at our annual meeting, or stop by our booth at a community-wide event to ask questions or grab some informational brochures.

TRICK OR TREAT
THE SUNDAY before halloween, FROM 12-3PM
DOWNTOWN GLEN ARBOR
Enjoy daytime trick or treating in the walkable business district of Glen Arbor. The Glen Lake Association may have a booth on the sidewalk in front our office, in the Martin Realty plaza. Shop small and eat local too! Open to the public. Come say hello!
DISCOVERY BOAT

Room for 8 guests per cruise
The Discovery Boat provides a hands-on educational opportunity to learn more about what makes Glen Lake so unique! Learn first hand from our watershed scientists as you cruise onboard a 22-foot pontoon boat for a 90 minute family -friendly excursion.
The curriculum varies and is tailored to the interests of the participants. Topics range from: discovering how the lakes, wetlands, streams and surrounding hillsides were formed by glaciers; the chemistry of the water; the biology of the plants and animals; the ecology of how all the parts work together; and the community partners and political forces at work within our watershed. The life cycle and prevention of swimmer’s itch are also covered.

Tuesdays from 9am-1pm, seasonally/Weather Permitting
Shop Leelanau Farmer’s Markets locations throughout the County. Glen Arbor markets take place next to the Town Hall on Tuesdays from 9am-1pm early June through mid-September.
