Meet our Interns: Part 3 – Fyn Luebke

by | Dec 19, 2024 | Interns, News

Fyn is a junior at Traverse City West Senior High School. He has grown up enjoying Glen Lake at his family’s cottage on Big Glen. He enjoys repairing small motors and selling them, riding his Jet Ski in the summer and snow skiing in the winter. You may spot him doing spins and flips on his skis at Crystal Mountain or working there in the rental area. He has also earned his second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is in the AP program in high school. Fyn has an entrepreneurial spirit, and his dream job is to own his own business someday.

For the GLA, Fyn worked at a table at the weekly Glen Arbor farmers market to educate the local community about the GLA. His efforts, along with several volunteers, sought to increase membership, newsletter and social media distribution, and overall understanding about the role of the GLA. He also worked at the boat wash and helped track aquatic plants using the GLA’s Aquascope.

“Fyn was great this summer, helping us set up for the farmers market weekly and being so personable with all the folks stopping by! Fyn has a wonderful positive attitude and loves the lake – so, he inspired a lot of the farmers market crowd to join the GLA or sign up for our newsletter,” said Pat Combs, GLA board member and Community Relations Committee Chair.

“My favorite part of the internship was meeting so many interesting people and being near Glen Lake all summer,” said Fyn Luebke.
