We are pleased to have an amazing group of folks at the Boat Wash who are dedicated to protecting the watershed from invasive species. Earlier this spring, we hired Brian Stitt as our Boat Wash Senior Manager. Since then we’ve welcomed several returning team members and a few new faces! Join us in welcoming the Boat Wash team, and say hello next time you’re at the DNR launch.
- Jamie Blondia is new to our team this year, and he loves “being outside all day helping to keep unwanted species out of the lake.”
- Christian First is joining us for his 7th year at the Boat Wash. He loves “meeting all the new people coming to enjoy the lake every summer” and being part of our invasive species prevention program.
- Elsa Miller is always happy to make our visitors smile and has been doing just that at the Boat Wash for three years. She always tells people that she “loves getting to enjoy God’s beauty” adding, “it’s like ‘eye candy’ without calories!’”
- Sallyanne Morris is coming up on her 20th year with the GLA and has played a major role in the success of our Boat Wash. Her favorite thing about the job is all the amazing folks she gets to meet and says, “some have become great friends!”
- Jim Robb joined the team this year, and he’s an avid fisher who can often be seen out on Glen Lake after his shifts. He says it’s ”always a great day by the water and helping keep the watershed clean.”
