Staff Spotlight: Assistant Scientist, Joe Blondia

by | Apr 25, 2024 | News, Staff Spotlight

Joe, who received his Biology degree from Grand Valley State University and completed post-graduate studies in Environmental Science at the University of Montana, is one of six highly qualified part-time staff employed by the GLA.

He assists with water quality monitoring, teaching on the Discovery Boat, working with GLA interns, and helping on special projects such as our recent EWM efforts. When not working for the GLA or spending time with family, Joe can be found introducing the next generation to the wonders of biology and responsibility of stewardship through his hands-on teaching style as a faculty member at the Leelanau School.
