The Fink Family cottage was built on the east shore of Big Glen Lake in 1940. Growing up, Rick spent nearly every summer there, so it’s no wonder the lake has always felt like home. In 1998, he and his wife, Janice, made it their permanent home.
Rick believes that the privilege of spending summers on Glen Lake is special. Maintaining this special place for generations to come is of the utmost importance to him, and volunteering for the GLA is his way of giving back. Rick currently serves as a member of the GLA Board of Directors, heads up the Water Level Committee, serving as a Captain, and is the board liaison for both the Water Level and Technology Committees. Rick also represents the GLA on the Glen Lake-Crystal River Technical Committee, which is charged with overseeing the operation of the Crystal River Dam in compliance with the court-ordered water sharing plan between the lake and river.
