The boat wash on Little Glen is our first line of defense against halting the potential introduction of harmful aquatic invasive species into Glen Lake. Boat Wash Senior Manager (Seasonal)
The Boat Wash Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the GLA Boat Wash program, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, managing a team of seasonal employees, and maintaining effective communication with the Executive Director, GLA Board of Directors Boat Wash Liaison, MI Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and other stakeholders.
This seasonal, non-exempt position runs from May through October. It offers full-time hours (32–40 hours per week, five days a week) from June to September and part-time hours (20–32 hours per week, three days a week) in May and October.
Compensation: $27/hour
Location: Little Glen Lake Boat Launch (7075 W. Day Forest Rd.), GLA Office (6404 Western Ave.)

Boat Wash Operator (Seasonal)
Boat Wash Operators play a vital part in protecting Glen Lake by preventing the spread of invasive species. This position is ideal for retirees, recent high school graduates, or college students looking for a meaningful seasonal opportunity in a beautiful outdoor setting. With a flexible part-time schedule, they will educate boaters, conduct boat washes, and contribute to the preservation of this valuable natural resource.
This non-exempt, seasonal position runs from May through October. It offers part-time hours (20-30 hours per week, three days per week), although additional hours may be available upon request.
Compensation: $20/hour
