By accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations through this legally binding contract.

Use of Publications, Trademarks and Logos

We provide information and resources on our website reflective of our mission. These may include articles, press releases, photographs, member stories, studies, publications, newsletters, video broadcasts, eNewsletters, updates, annual reports, and other communication outreach to inform our members and partners. Unless otherwise defined, all website content is intellectual property belonging to the Glen Lake Association.

You are permitted to download information from the website for personal informational use. You may also copy, distribute, adapt, and transmit content from this website solely for nonprofit or educational purposes. This use must contain the attribution “Reproduced with permission of the Glen Lake Association.” No other relationship, endorsement or affiliation may be suggested without express written permission.

Use of Photography

Photographs of the Glen Lake/ Crystal River Watershed and environs are the express property of the photographer and the Glen Lake Association. No photographs are to be reused without permission from the photographer and/ or the Glen Lake Association.

Any other use than already defined, specifically use of any photo appearing on the website.

Duplication of any Glen Lake Association logos.

Use of copyrighted material, trademarks or logos.

Use of Collected Information

The Glen Lake Association will not sell, share or rent your personal data to third parties for their use. The information collected will be used by GLA to;

  • Communicate with members and donors regarding their support and its uses. Communications will be sent by mail, email, electronically or by phone.
  • Build relationships with members, the community and our partners and constituents.
  • Inform members and stakeholders of special events and opportunities.
  • Assist with requested services, such as registering for Discovery Boat cruises and the annual meeting, renewing memberships and subscribing to GLA e-newsletters.
  • Accept and process donations authorized by donors.
  • Purchase logo wear and merchandise through our eCommerce website.
  • Analyze and identify fundraising trends and topics of concern and interest of stakeholders.

Online Store Policy and Event Signups

GLA offers a line of logo brand merchandise that includes clothing and other items for purchase on our website. Event signup that involves a cost to participate – such as the Discovery Boat cruise purchases and other events that may require a registration fee – can be made online using the eCommerce store. Purchases can be made on our website using credit cards or through your PayPal account. Follow the instructions for pick-up of your purchases when ordering.

Note: GLA does not store credit card information. This is handled by the payment companies, Stripe and PayPal.

No Guarantees

Though we strive to keep available website information current and accurate, errors can and do occur. We provide this information with no representation or guarantees of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. The Glen Lake Association will not be liable to any member, or any other person, for any damages that may result from the use or inability to use the website; or as a result of any content, information, services or resources made available by the website.

Glen Lake Association members and all persons using the website agree to indemnify and hold harmless our affiliates, officers, directors, employees and volunteers from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorney’s fees, made by any third party due to, or arising out of, or related to use of this website. This website is owned and operated by the Glen Lake Association from our offices in Glen Arbor, Michigan. Your use of the website and any related legal action, will be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Sole jurisdiction of any litigation arising from website use or inquiries will be an appropriate Leelanau County, Michigan state or federal court.
